Wake up early in the morning and switch on your TV to watch Hindi News. Browse little bit with your remote and surf among the half-a-dozen Hindi News Channels. You will encounter only two situations. Either you will be forced to view the same repeated stories or you will find yourself deluge into some cheap advertisements. These news channels work very smartly! If one channel is going for a commercial break, there is a strong possibility that other channels shall also run commercial advertisements at the time.

If noticed keenly, advertisements shown on these News channels; particularly in the morning session; are a-bit different from other commercial advertisements broadcast on Satellite Television. These Advertisements would be generally of Lingerie and Male Briefs etc. Needless to say the quality and presentation of these commercials are far below the standards and sometimes make you feel pale and weird.

In one advertisement you would find a young lady launder wearing shortest possible skirt standing across a male model, asking him to handover his cloths. Yes, you guessed right! The male model only has his short brief on. The gestures and facial expressions of these two models are so suggestive that you easily make out what they are up to. This is just one of most weird advertisement you notice on any news channel. There are number of such advertisements of similar pattern and methodology shown on the TV.

Recently, one among these creepy advertisements has rocked the nation. This is a commercial of “Amul Macho Brief”. This new advertisement is talk of the town now-a-days.

This is a funny, sexy and naughty advertisement. The storyline of this commercial is some what as follows:

amul2A newly married young and beautiful lady comes to river / lake bank, to wash some cloths. She is shown shy and a-bit frightened. There are number of elderly women bathing and washing cloths at the same place. They all watch her closely and smile playfully. The lady finds the situation critical to her, and suddenly she changes her avatar to reveal inner desires of her. She decides to be blatant. She takes out her husband’s underwear from the lot and exhibits it to others. She feels herself in commanding position as other women are taken aback by the sheer size of the underwear. She now makes suggestive movements to show her fantasies while washing the underwear. She is shown to be aroused and absolutely enjoying the act.

I have read lots of articles published related to this advertisement and have visited number of personal blogs to get an idea of what people think about this commercial. The real question which emerges is – “Is this advertisement vulgar?”

Actually, there is no definite answer to it. Definition of Vulgarity differs from person to person. Broadly speaking, vulgarity or obscenities are associated to anything sexual. But this commercial is not showing anything which may be defined as sexual. But this advertisement is in a bad taste and has crossed the line of indecency.

The gestures, music and finally the suggestive grin of the lady at the end of commercial are not up to the standard. The tagline of this advertisement is “crafted for fantasies”, which suits the nature and subject line adopted. In fact, the creative directors of the advertisements have succeeded to make a super successful and rocking advertisement but have failed to raise the standard of commercial advertising.

Finally, you will be surprised to know that, most of critics and bloggers are not talking about the obscenity but are deeply interested to know the name of the stunningly beautiful & sexy model featuring in the commercial!

Name of this stunningly gorgeous model is Sana Khan.

Far cry from ads during Playoff's
In USA the ads during playoff's are one of the major attractions for the general public. Advertising agencies kill each other for the hottest spots. Moreover they are sexually laced and if seen through Indian eyes - vulgar.

We are far cry from producing quality ads like the m=ones mentioned earlier. For the time being, we have to do with Tooooiiiinnng ads...God knows whatever that means anyway!
