The secret is out now. The story of Ram Gopal Verma's next “Contract” is based upon the lives of Chhota Rajan. The film is the last episode of Ramu's trilogy on the underworld, and deals with real-life incidents that happened in the late ‘90s. Satya (1998) and Company (2002) are Varma’s first two films on the Mumbai underworld.
Contract traces the life of gangster Chhota Rajan after he engages in a bitter war with Dawood Ibrahim. The film talks about how Rajan, after being gunned down by Dawood’s sharp shooters in Bangkok, is whisked away to safety by an Indian intelligence agency.
Contract also exposes the tie-up between the underworld and terrorist organisations. So far so good, but only time will tell the audience would go with this or not.
