The enterprising director of Hazaaron Khwahisein Aisi, Sudhir Mishra is all set to give the Devdas a new look. According to few media reports he is incorporating politics into his version of Devdas, which he begins filming in August.

Says Sudhir, "It's more like Shakespeare's Hamlet as applied to the politics of India." The film will have Devdas and Paro as political adversaries fighting each other beyond the boundaries of a love story gone awry. Interestingly enough Sudhir will shoot his film in the deserts of Rajasthan. "I want those vast stretches of sand for dramatic emphasis," he says.

Well well, it will be interesting to see how the film comes out.
