Children labeled as Hyperactive are unlikely to be suffering from any mental disorder. According to a study these children are just naughty.
A new study in Britain has revealed that only half of the kids suspected of having attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) are actually diagnosed with the condition by a mental health expert.
Children with ADHD cannot concentrate on school work or play and are easily distracted, forgetful or fail to follow instructions. They are also unduly noisy, restless, often talk excessively and butt in to other’s conversations.
Better educational resources need to be made available to teachers in schools to help them accurately pinpoint kids with ADHD, according to the researchers.
