Cricket was never been part of Olympic Games except one instance. The 2nd Olympic Games held in Paris featured Cricket and an event. Only two teams participated in the event, one of France and another of Britain.

The 1900 Olympic Games comprise many interesting facts, such as:

  • It was a five month affair, started on May 14 and ended on October 28, 1900.
  • Women participated for the first time during this event
  • Many unusual games like Cricket, Live Pigeon shooting and Golf featured in this event
  • Norman Pitchard won two silver medals for India, he later starred in Broadways and Hollywood flicks.
  • The Olympic Games were made a part of World Fair which was being held in Paris at the same time.
