If the researchers of Japan are to be believed soon you would be able to have your girlfriend's 3D photos put on your table instead of regular 2D photo. Researches in Japan are developing a gadget that could enable people to hold 3D dimensional image of someone in the palm of their hand.
Gcubik, which is still at the prototype stage will later be developed to move in real time and appear to speak.
A member of research team Shunsuke Yoshida said - “the ultimate image we have in mind is having a small person in your palm.”
Gcubik panels have many tiny lenses on LCDs Unlike conventional 3D displays, which are iewed only from the front, the gCubik can be seen from three sides, giving different images from three sides.
Yoshida adds - “Soon grandparents could use the 3.9 inch cubic device to see a 3D image of their grandchild living far away.”
