Is this my Kismat? To laugh sometime, to enjoy sometime, to sneak a preview of who is sitting beside me sometime or to stretch hand and note the time after every 5 minutes.
Kismat Konnection connects well with the lovebirds. So if you want to pass some good time with your girlfriend, may take her to watch this film. Though it is a bit over dose of what we call “See how much I love you”, but it certainly has some good moments too. It’s cannot be labeled as a fantastic movie or a must watch but it is not that avoidable too.
What’s Story:
A young and energetic and unlucky architect Raj Malhotra (Shahid Kapoor) thinks that he is not made for girls. He thinks he is too unlucky to have a pal with him. He gets so desperate that he decides to visit a crystal ball reader (Juhi Chawla) to change his fortunes. She predicts that a lucky charm will soon meet him and change things for good.
Here comes, Priya (Vidya Balan) who is a charming young lady and who is fighting for the survival of a community centre to be taken over by a real estate company. Raj promises to help save the centre in return of her presence at all their meetings. But what is his real motive?
Pick Points:
There are some pick points for sure. Shahid Kapoor is the one. He looks cute and handsome. One can easily resemble him with Shahrukh Khan. The movie is directed by Aziz Mirza who is known for his close relationship with Shahrukh. And even if he makes films without Shahrukh too, one can see Shahrukh’s virtual presence everywhere.
The music is good, and one particular number “Tum hi ho” is already heading to top the chartbuster list. Cinematography is excellent.
Supporting cast has done their job well.
Weak Points:
Just too many to point down. Vidya Balan, though, looks graceful in this film and impresses with her performance, lacks the charm. In some frames she looks bit over weight too and much older than Shahid. There are too many songs in the movie and that hampers the story telling. I don’t understand what is the real need to put songs un-necessarily between scripts.
Finally:
You may catch the movie once and if you would have a good company (read your love interest), you would enjoy the movie more. But you may go for other choices too. There are two more movies released today. Think about it.
