There were reports that Tom Cruise is preparing to reprise his role in a sequel to hit 1986 movie Top Gun.
But now, a spokesperson for Paramount - the studio behind Top Gun - says there is "no way" Cruise will be signing up for the new project.
Earlier there were reports that the actor had been asked to resume his role as fighter-pilot Maverick, returning to the Top Gun school as a flight instructor - 22 years after the original film.
But now it is clear that Tom Cruise is not doing any Paramount flick as yet.
