Star Cricketer Shoaib Akhtar's plans of making a debut in Bollywood has gone for a toss as controversial Pakistani fast bowler Mohammed Asif is all set to replace him in the film Mein Aur Meri Himmat. According to some news reports, Asif has already been finalised for the film while the rest of the casting is still under process.The film will be directed by Sangamitra Chowdhury.

Payal Mehta, the project designer and script-writer of the film quoted in saying, "Yes, we have roped in Asif. We have been meeting and talking to him to be part of our film when the IPL was on. We didn't want to announce it earlier as the rest of the details are yet to be finalised. But now that Asif is already onboard, we are ready to officially announce the film. I think Asif is quite serious about his career in films. His response has been encouraging."

Both are the controversial cricketers and Mohammad Asif has very dim future in Cricket. So it is not a bad idea to try out in Bollywood.
