Every Chinese would remember the 080808 for a long long time. On that day china showed the world what is called the opening ceremony.
Beijing 2008, started with a bang. 80 state leaders including Putin and Bush were present at the ceremony. Unfortunately our Prime Minister Mr. Manmohan Singh was not among the 80 leaders, he was not invited.
However, the venue Bird’s nest was built using 45000 tones of steel crisscross framework. More that 14000 performers performed the spectacular dance sequences. They have practiced for this for long 13 months.
Over 10000 athletes took part in the march past and 30000 fireworks had gone off during the ceremony.
Dragon showed its power to the world with best.
