Rock On Rocks!! We all know that making a relation is easy but to maintain it is real difficult. Relationship can get complicated by the time and it is the fact of the life.

Rock On captures this theme so beautifully that you start relating yourself with characters on screen.

You would love to watch them perform on screen because you would feel that it is a story of yourself. Remember Dil Chahta Hai? It was a fantastic film of 3 friends. Here there are four, but effect is same. Rocking!

Story:

It is a story of four friends, Rob [Luke Kenny], Aditya [Farhan Akhtar], KD [Purab Kohli] and Joe [Arjun Rampal], all talented musicians. They come together to form their amateur band, Magik. It is just a break for them but they did not relise when their so-called break turns distortions and sees the end. They parts way and later meet again. Relations play major role here.

Pick Points:

This is film which should be showcased as a film made in India. Everything is just perfect in this film. All characters have played their part so well. Farhan Akhtar is a talented director as we all know, but what we did not know that he is a superb actor too! This is a debut film of Prachi Desai and she could not have asked for a better role than this. She played the role of Farhan Akhtar's wife and she simply rocks. Ditto to Arjun Rampal and rest. Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy's music is perfect. It's completely in sync with the mood of the film.

Weak Points:

It is very difficult to find a flaw in this film. Perhaps the pace. But then it is negligible if you consider the storyline and performance on screen.

Finally:

This is a must watch. Though it is urban movie and there would not be many takers in small towns. Rock on works, really.

Story tugs at one's heart and it was brillantly brought alive by your actors. Everything was simply apt. I may sound biased here but I must say, all of the characters were very well developed; however I somehow felt that the character of Sakshi was underdeveloped. Yet inspite and despite this, there is no one else I could think of who could have taken such an underdeveloped character to such sparkling heights. While Debbie's character was multi-dimensional, Sakshi was one dimensional and yet Prachi Desai's portrayal of Sakshi made the character more warm and incredibly appealing. One's heart just aches for her to see Aditya's aloofness and simply wants to shake the devil out of him for his stupidity. I will quote a review I recently read, "Prachi aka Bani was the perfect casting for the too sweet to be true role". INDEED! It simply was refreshing and sparkling! It's almost hard to believe that this young talent is just 19 years old. The squabble between the husband-wife duo is just simply brilliant.

Purab was a comic trip and Arjum clearly has alot of potential. Farhan is a raw pleasure as Aditya. Luke is white? Really? He was DESI all the way! The girl playing Debbie was okay (nothing extraordinary), even though she had a meatier role.

Everyone did justice to their roles and my salutations to your for your practical and understated film. All the best and hope Rock On is a success!
