Many people believe that, the earth is going to destroy today. The much hyped Big Bang research is going to take place today, but need not worry, the project is very much safe.
At roughly 3.30 a.m. Eastern time, scientists at CERN, say they will try to send the first beam of protons around the 17 mile long race track known as the Large hadron Collider.
The collider, 14 years and $8 billion in the making is the most expensive scientific experiment to date. Thousands of physicists from dozens of countries have been involved in building the collider and its huge particle detectors.
The director general of CERN, Robert Aymar, said in news release, "The LHC is safe, and any suggestion that it might present a risk is pure fiction."
The computer grid to record the data of this project has been reportedly developed by Indian Scientists.
