Vikram Bhatt did the Raaz again! Infect better than that.
1920 is a horror film which tells the story of spirit and paranormal elements. Vikram’s latest endeavor succeeds to scare people, as promised by this ace director. It do has some flaws but film works because of its presentation style.
Story:
The film is set on 1920. It is a story of Arjun [Rajneesh Duggal] who has been given the task of pulling down a house and making a hotel there. He moves to the house with his wife [Adah Sharma]. But the couple is unaware that the house is haunted by an ill spirit.
Soon the spirit takes control over Arjun’s wife and inexplicable events start taking place…
Pick Points:
The plus point of this film is story, written by Vikram himself. Performance wise, Rajneesh Duggal shows potential, so does Adah. She looks pretty and acts well. Raj Zutsi as priest impresses. Music is soothing. There are many scenes in the film which scares. This kind of film required good cinematography and Pravin Bhatt's camera work scores here.
Weak Points:
The film starts dragging most of places. A few cut and film would come out as a real enjoyable one.
Finally:
On the whole 1920 meets expectations. I am not saying it is a masterpiece but it cannot be written off either. Can be watched once.
