| It is touted that Microsoft’s yet to release operating system will remove the sin of previous counterpart Vista. |
Microsoft is about to put its RC version for free download. There will be a little change after that so, it is more like a final version of Windows 7.
The release will be available at microsoft.com/downloads in a move intended to signal that the software giant is putting finishing touches on the operating system. Early reviews have praised it for its stability and for avoiding problems that marred Vista’s image.
Biggest drawback of Vista is that it was not compatible with some software designed for Windows XP, and that it was too much for netbooks or older computers to handle.
That is where Windows 7 scores. Touted features include compatibility with touch-screen controls, being friendly to light-weight hardware, and improved performance on multi-core processors.
Microsoft recommends a 1 GHz processor with 1 GB of memory and DirectX 9 graphics support for the 32-bit version, and 2GB of memory for the 64-bit version.
